Nowadays, more and more people like to travel in their holidays. The other day I read a report about the ways people spend their holidays. It is reported that in recent yiars several new holiday habits have been developed. Among them, the most interesting one is the growth of the so-called holiday camps.
From the report we can see that in 1990,40 percent of people stayed at home for holidays. But now the proportion has reduced to 9 percent. More people go out for fun. The proportion of camping and traveling abroad was increasing steadily, from 10 percent in 1990 to 38 percent in 2002, and 12 percent in 1990 to 26 percent in 2002 respectively. People enjoy the fresh air, clean Water and green hills when they go camping in the suburbs. In 1990,38 percent people enjoyed going to the seaside while in 2002 only 27 percent prefer to go there. Why did those changes appear? I think there are several reasons. First, it’ s because people can afford traveling. Second, people prefer to pursue a high-quality and colorful life. My teacher gave me an assignment "experience life" last week. I had been thinking how to finish it because I had never done any thing by myself before.
Mother was out today. It was a good chance to complete the assignment. Seeing the barrel was empty, I decided to fetch water from the well.
I took the empty barrel and went towards the well outside the yard. It snowed yesterday, so the alley was very slippery. A layer of thickice was frozen on the platform of the well. I was frightened by the sight, but I gathered my courage to walk towards it. I stepped on the platform carefully. After standing steadily and squatting down slowly, I hooked the barrel at the end of the rope and put the rope down slowly. I made an effort to drag the barrel up after it was filled with water. I was very careful because it was easy to slip and fall. Then, I carried the barrel of water and returned to my house. My figners were frozen stiff. The alley was so slippery that I walked with difficultly. Suddenly, I slipped and fell down, water in the barrel totally poured down on the ground. I realized my effort was in vain. I hated myself.
I failed to finish the assignment but I did experience life through a trifle which seemed easy but difficult to do well. Such was my first experience of life.

Some students think WeChat is a very useful tool. It can provide a platform to communicate with their friends. Besides, they can make more friends and learn more knowledge by WeChat.
However, some students think WeChat will affect their study if they spend too much time using it. And they may be tricked by strange net friends. Last but not least, it will also affect their eyesight to use WeChat for a long time .
In my opinion, we shouldn’t use WeChat for too long and make sure that don’t use it when we are studying. In addition we shouldn’t add strangers casually or meet net friends without our parents’ permission.
I took my school report and came back home cautiously only to find mother wasn’t at home. She went to my aunt’s and wou!d come back in the evcning. I knew that fi’om a note on the table. I was still a little bit frightened as if mother would come back suddenly.
Seeing the low marks on the school report and remcmbering mother’s cold face, I almost trembled with fear. lf mother know I got so low marks oa the subjects, especially English, she would tear all my cartoon books which are my fovourite. I have been treating them as my own life for a long time. But mother always thought cartoon diverted my attention from study and had a bad effect on me. Frankly speaking, I had realized it. Mother hated those books. She had warned me if I got low marks once more she would get rid of them. I Still wanted to keep those books even if I would mever touch them from then on. What should I do? I knew that any persuation was in vain. I would prevent mother from doing that.
A good idea stroke me. I gathered all the books and put them in a box. Then, I hid the box under my bed. Having done it carefully, I had a breathing spell.Opening the English book, I sat at the desk and began to read. It was really the time that I learned English carefully, I thought.
